This family-owned place in the historic town center has been given the traditional folk name always belonging to this house. The same careful approach respecting the local tradition has also been applied in the reconstruction of the house with the aim to preserve its character. The first written mention of the house dates back to 1459. The basic character of the building is of Renaissance origin, the front and facade are Classicist. The house had a number of owners: various Burghers of Krumlov (portreeve, alderman, Castle burgrave) and craftsmen practising their trade here (tanner, cobbler, maltster, weaver, several butchers). During the 1992 reconstruction the interior of the house was re-styled into the theme of the 30's of the 20th century; also the original furniture and other amenities fit this style. Today the house is being used as a pub and hotel while respecting the historic heritage. This makes the atmosphere of our town so unique.
